1980 – 81  MIDDLESEX UNIVERSITY : DIPLOMA IN PRIMARY EDUCATION.

1963 – NATIONAL DIPLOMA IN DESIGN.

1963 – 64 – Attends at University of Newcastle Upon Tyne Department of Education – Awarded Art Teacher’s Diploma .

1964 – Began attending meetings of ‘The Society of the Hidden Life’, an esoteric group which continued to meet in Highgate, under the leadership of the Cabalist Tony Potter, until its effective dissolution in 1974.

1972 – 1975 Solo exhibitions with London Borough of Haringey at NEW GALLERY Hornsey Library, and BRUCE CASTLE MUSEUM, Tottenham.

1976 – Solo exhibitions at DUNELM HOUSE in Durham University, and at THE SHIPLEY GALLERY, Gateshead.

1979 – 80 – Open exhibition ‘SPIRIT OF LONDON’, Royal Festival Hall and London Stock Exchange.

1980 –  ‘SPIRIT OF LONDON’ G.L.C. PRIZE, painting (below) acquired by G.L.C. now in the Guildhall Art Gallery, London, and listed in ART UK.

1980 -81 – Attends full time at Middlesex University. 15th June: Awarded Diploma in Primary Education: Language Development.

1982 – Featured in ‘A CENTURY OF ART EDUCATION  1882 -1982’  Exhibition by MIDDLESEX POLYTECHNIC

1982 – Solo Exhibition at Lauderdale House, Highgate.

1983 – Portrait of ‘Barry Long The Spiritual Teacher’ (below left shortlisted & exhibited: JOHN PLAYER PORTRAIT AWARD, NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY, London.

1984 – Commissioned portrait of Anthony Jones, Captain of Parmiter’s School (1936–1938), Chairman of the Old Parmiterians’ Society (1955–1956), Vice President of the Old Parmiterians’ Society (1968–1984) and Chairman of the Old Parmiter’s Foundation (1982–1984) (Above right)

1987-88 – ROYAL ACADEMY SUMMER EXHIBITIONS, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London.

1989 – Short-listed for Artist in Residence Bursary,  ROYAL BOTANIC GARDENS KEW.

1988 -98 – artistic agent: JOHN DAVIES, CHURCH STREET GALLERY, Stow on the Wold, Gloucestershire.

1994 – donated paintings to ARTISTS for NUCLEAR DISARMAMENT, organised by Victor Tesser at the Exhibition Hall, Swiss Cottage Library London. Contributors included Diana Armfield, Steve Bell, Sir Hugh Casson, Arthur Easton, Mary Fedden, Maggi Hambling, Timothy Hyman, Albert Irvin, John Keane, Humphry Ocean and Victor Pasmore.

1998 – 2014 -artistic agent: Francis Kyle at FRANCIS KYLE GALLERY, Mayfair, London: solo exhibitions 2002, 2005. Themed group exhibitions with Francis Kyle Gallery, including: ‘The Art of Memory – Contemporary Painters in Search of Marcel Proust’ 2000 (Also held at The National Theatre. London in conjunction with a staged screenplay by Harold Pinter on the theme of Proust), ‘Lair of the Leopard -Lampedusa’s Sicily’ 2004, ‘Everyone Sang: A view of Siegfried Sassoon and his World’ 2006 and ‘This Twittering World’ – celebrating T.S.Eliot’s Four Quartets, 2011

2004 – ‘Clement’s Garden’ (1986) oil on panel 4′ x 3′ exhibited in the ‘ART OF THE GARDEN’, exhibition at TATE BRITAIN, London.

2008 – Oils on canvas ‘North London Interior’ (18″x24″) and ‘Brambles in a North London Garden’ included in the ‘HOME AND GARDEN’ exhibition at The Museum of the Home, London.

2009 – Chapter on JOHN PEARCE included in ‘Garden Painters’ by Ariel Luke, Forward by Sir Roy Strong. Published by A & C BLACK, London, 2009.

2011 – Curated and took part in ‘OLD CONTEMPORARIES’ at ISLINGTON ARTS FACTORY, London.

2012 – Participated in ‘À TRAVERS CHAMPS’, an open air art event at The MANOIR DES BOUILLONS, Orval sur Sienne, Normandy.

2013 – ‘An Overgrown Rockery’ oil on canvas 48″x36″ on permanent display at NATURE IN ART MUSEUM, Gloucester.

2014 – Curated and participated in ‘TROIS ANGLAIS ET UNE ANGLAISE EXPLORENT L’ABSTRACTION ET LA FIGURATION’, an exhibition at LA CONCIERGERIE, CHÂTEAU DE REGNÉVILLE SUR MER, Normandy, featuring paintings and graphics by Garry Keon, Susan Herivel, John Richter and John N. Pearce.

 

2015 – Painting ‘Blackberries in August, Muswell Hill’ (1980) included in 15th Anniversary Rehang of the permanent exhibition at THE GUILDHALL GALLERY, London.
